Back Again

I am back once again to try having a blog I can be proud of and feel happy doing. Cross your fingers people. I still have many things I would love to do with this blog and I will try to do them all eventually. I hope you will come back and read often as the days go by. The Flip Ultra Camcorder

Dave got me the most wonderful birthday present, a Flip Ultra Camcorder. It takes great videos and it's so small. I just love it and we are having a lot of fun with it. I will post one of the first videos we took, later. Right now I'm having a little trouble with blogger uploading the video. I will try again in a few hours.

My Birthday

My birthday is tomorrow. My husband took the day off just to spend all day with me. He's such a sweetie!! I don't know what he has planned for tomorrow but I will be sure to post about it. My mom called tonight and said she wants us to come to her house on Sunday to celebrate my birthday. Sounds like a fun week in store for me. I've been getting some wonderful birthday cards in the mail. Thank you to all who sent me one.

Library Madness

Well let me start here, I returned a dvd to the library a few weeks ago. While looking at my account online the other day I noticed I was being fined for not returning it. My husband had gone in and returned it for me. They told him to just shove it through the slot in front of the desk, so he did. I couldn't call yesterday because the library was closed for MLK day but I did call today. First of all I told the person that answered the phone my problem and she put me on hold for about 15 minutes and then came back and told me she looked everywhere and there was no record of me returning it. I told her in a tone I don't think she appreciated (who cares), that it was returned and it was their fault they didn't log it back in and that I wasn't paying for it or paying one penny of the fine. She told me to hold on again, this time for about 12 minutes. When she came back she told me she had found it on a shelf behind the desk and someone had taken it out of its case. Like that's my problem. Why are people so incompetent? I know people make mistakes, we all do, but it seems the work ethic of many has gone down hill. We encounter this kind of thing all of the time. Sorry if I sound bitchy. Just venting.

Looking Ahead to 2008

Wishing everyone a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year. I am writing out a list of goals for 2008...not resolutions but goals. That seems to work a bit better for me. We had a great 2007 and many of our goals and wishes came true. I know 2008 is going to be even better. When Dave gets home from work, yes he had to work today, we are going to Mom and Aunt Lynn's to ring in the New Year with them. Love to all of you!!!
